West Bengal’s voting process witnesses reports of violence and intimidation of voters 

Reports of violence and intimidation of voters and attacks on political agents came in from different places in West Bengal, amidst the voting process. False voting has been reported from some booths. EVM tampering attacks on candidates have also been reported sporadically. 
 
In spite of these scattered incidents, voting in West Bengal under the first phase of the Assembly election is underway peacefully. 
 
Five individuals have been arrested, and four have been identified in relation to the Kumarganj incident in which BJP candidates were attacked. Nearly 400 complaints have been registered by the Commission till now.
