Maharashtra: Voting underway for by-elections in Baramati constituency, Rahuri constituency

In Maharashtra, voting is underway for the by-elections in the Baramati constituency of Pune district and Rahuri constituency of Ahilyanagar district. 
 
The by-elections are being held following the demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Rahuri MLA Shivaji Kardile. In Baramati, Sunetra Pawar is a main contender, while Akshay Kardile is a key candidate in Rahuri.
 
In Baramati, there are a total of 384,579 voters, including 193,871 men, 190,684 women, and 24 third-gender voters. A total of 478 polling stations have been set up for the electorate.
 
In Rahuri, 333,545 voters are eligible to cast their votes. To ensure smooth and secure polling, necessary facilities have been provided at all 374 polling stations, with continuous monitoring through webcasting.
