The Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, said that India will become a developed nation by 2047, with a strong focus on inclusive growth. Addressing a convocation ceremony of a private university in Meerut, the Vice President emphasized that young people will be the driving force behind transforming India into a global economic powerhouse. He encouraged students to remain committed to innovation, hard work, and nation-building.
The Vice President said that a convocation ceremony is not the end of an academic journey but the beginning of new goals and responsibilities. He urged students not to fear failure; he said that every setback offers valuable lessons and should be an opportunity for growth.
Highlighting regional development, the Vice President also mentioned that modern infrastructure projects such as the Delhi-Meerut RRTS and expanding metro connectivity are giving Meerut a new identity with improved services and facilities, contributing to the nation’s overall progress.
