President Murmu on day-long visit to her home state Odisha today

President Droupadi Murmu is on a day-long visit to her home state Odisha today. She arrived at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda this morning and proceeded to Rourkela by an IAF helicopter. During her visit to Rourkela, the President inaugurated development and cultural projects worth around 158 crore rupees in the steel city. These include the Rourkela One Project at Civil Township, featuring an integrated command and control centre, an auditorium, and a tribal museum. She also inaugurated a modern planetarium and science centre at Chhend Colony. The President further dedicated the Nirmal Munda Parivesh Path and a recreational park at Koel Nagar to the public, aimed at improving urban infrastructure and green spaces. The president is scheduled to interact with representatives of various organisations at the Panposh Circuit House before her departure to Delhi this evening. Elaborate multi-layered security arrangements have been put in place across Rourkela, including no-fly and no-drone zones.
