Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr Virendra Kumar has criticised Opposition parties for not supporting the Constitution Amendment Bill related to the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, stating that all political parties should have backed the legislation in the national interest. Speaking at a press conference in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, the Minister said the Opposition prioritised partisan politics over national interest, leading to the bill’s failure to pass. He added that Opposition parties may face significant political consequences in the future for opposing the bill.
