Union Education Minister directs foolproof conduct of re-NEET Exam under strict security

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today chaired a high-level meeting in New Delhi to assess preparations for the forthcoming NEET (UG) Re- examination. Stressing the need for complete integrity and transparency in the conduct of the examination, Mr Pradhan directed that all gaps identified in the earlier examination process must be comprehensively addressed and eliminated. The Minister emphasized that re-examination must be conducted in a secure, seamless and fool proof manner under stringent security protocols. During the meeting, directions were issued to hold coordination meetings with District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police across states to ensure robust monitoring and effective implementation of examination arrangements.
In another development, the Central Bureau of Investigation has intensified its probe into the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case by conducting another search operation at the Renukai Chemistry Classes coaching centre in Maharashtra’s Latur district. According to sources, a CBI team visited the institute yesterday and examined several documents, computer records and educational materials linked to the investigation. Officials are reportedly scrutinising alleged mock question papers, student contact records, pre-examination guidance sessions and possible links to the suspected paper leak network.
Sources said that the agency has also questioned the minor son of RCC director Shivraj Motegaonkar, who is a Class 12 student and appeared for this year’s NEET examination. Detailed questioning of the student is currently underway at the CBI office in Pune.
The CBI team continued its presence at the coaching institute today as part of ongoing searches and verification of records. Officials are examining digital data and documents to establish whether any irregularities took place in connection with the national-level medical entrance examination.
Earlier, RCC director Shivraj Motegaonkar had also been questioned for several hours by investigators in connection with the case.
