Punjab government has suspended Amritsar Rural Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Maninder Singh following his failure to take action against gangsters.
According to official sources, the strict action has been taken to ensure accountability of the officers concerned towards the safety and security of the state and its citizens. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has said that no negligence in action against gangsters will be tolerated.
