PM Modi Inaugurates ₹6,350 Crore Projects, Flags Off two New Amrit Bharat Trains in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth around 6 thousand and 350 crore rupees in Varanasi this evening. The projects cover key sectors including rail, road, water, healthcare, tourism and urban infrastructure. The Prime Minister participated in the Mahila Sammelan. 
 
Speaking on this occasion, the Prime Minister said, the government is committed to ensuring women’s participation in the country’s policy-making. He said the major goal is to implement reservations for women in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies. 
 
Mr Modi flagged off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains and laid the foundation stone of the Varanasi-Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction third and fourth railway line project, including the construction of a rail-cum-road bridge over the Ganga River. The Amrit Bharat Express trains will connect Banaras-Hadapsar in Pune and Ayodhya-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai.
 
These trains will provide affordable and modern travel options and enhance connectivity between Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The Banaras-Pune service will facilitate easier access to Kashi Vishwanath Dham, while the Ayodhya-Mumbai service will improve connectivity to the Shri Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra, strengthening links between key religious destinations. With the launch of these two new services, the total number of operational Amrit Bharat Express trains has gone up to 66. While the project related to the laying of third and fourth railway lines will improve access to Kashi Vishwanath Dham and National Highway-19 and strengthen rail connectivity with eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.  
 
Tomorrow, Mr Modi will perform darshan and pooja at Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi. During the second leg of the visit, the Prime Minister will travel to Hardoi tomorrow and will inaugurate the Ganga Expressway. It is a 594-kilometre-long, 6-lane access-controlled greenfield high-speed corridor built at a total cost of over thirty-six thousand crore rupees
