Union Home Minister Amit Shah Sounds BJP’s Poll Bugle for Punjab Assembly Elections in Moga

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah sounded the BJP’s poll bugle for the next year assembly elections in Punjab, from the Moga district of the state, today. Addressing a rally named ‘Badlav Rally’ at village Killi Chahlan, he assured Punjab that if voted to power, the Bhartiya Janta Party will make the state drug-free within 2 years and will legally stop the religious conversion by bringing a bill in the Assembly.

He blamed the present AAP government in Punjab for rising crime, drugs, conversions, corruption and the present situation of farmers. He called upon the people of the state to bring a double-engine government of the BJP to power to make the state free of these menaces and bring it back to prosperity.

He said the BJP government in the Centre has brought many of those responsible for the 1984 Sikh riots to justice.

Paying his respects to the Sikh and other revered Gurus and the martyrs from Punjab, the Home Minister said that the BJP had always entered the Punjab’s political arena as a younger brother earlier, but this time the party is prepared to form the next government in the state under the leadership of the Prime Minister to let the state regain its lost glory.
