In Odisha, four people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a tragic road accident last night on National Highway-143 near Chandiposh village in Bonai of Sundargarh district. The mishap occurred when a private passenger bus, travelling from Rourkela to Jajpur, reportedly crossed the road divider and collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The injured passengers, four of whom are reported to be critical, are being treated at the nearby hospitals. Police, fire services personnel, and local villagers immediately launched rescue operations. Firefighters used gas cutters to extricate the truck driver’s body from the mangled vehicle.
