Maharashtra: IMD forecasts heatwave-like conditions in Vidarbha and Marathwada tomorrow

In Maharashtra, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave-like conditions in isolated pockets of the Vidarbha region and Marathwada tomorrow.
 
The IMD has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall at isolated places in Vidarbha, North Maharashtra, and Marathwada till the 21st of this month.
 
A yellow alert has been issued for heatwave-like conditions in Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Amravati, Akola, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal districts tomorrow.
 
Further, the IMD has forecast thunderstorms with lightning, light to moderate rainfall, and gusty winds of upto 30-40 kmph in parts of Vidarbha, including Wardha, Yavatmal, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Akola, and Amravati, on 20th and 21st April.
 
The department has also predicted rainfall at isolated places in Western Maharashtra, including Pune, Kolhapur, and Satara, between the 19th and 21st of April.
 
Additionally, light to moderate rainfall is expected in isolated pockets of Solapur, Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv districts.
