The Tipra Motha Party has retained power with a huge majority in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), securing a decisive mandate in the latest elections.
According to the latest data of the results, Tipra Motha Party won 24 out of the total 28 seats, thereby achieving more than a two-thirds majority in the council. The BJP secured victory in the remaining 4 seats.
In the 2021 TTAADC elections, the Tipra Motha Party had won 18 seats, while the BJP secured 9 seats, and an independent candidate emerged victorious in 1 seat.
