India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heat wave conditions over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema today. The Weather Agency has also issued an orange alert for thunderstorms accompanied with hailstorms over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for today.

The Met Department has predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Parts of North East, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan till tomorrow. Similar conditions are expected to prevail over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Karnataka and Punjab today. Furthermore, IMD said hot and humid weather is expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Gujarat State, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today.
