In a major operation, the Mumbai office of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has destroyed cannabis plants that were being illegally cultivated in around 9.5 acres of land in Maharashtra’s Dhule district. According to an official press release, DRI Mumbai conducted a major breakthrough operation along with its Pune and Nagpur regional units based on specific intelligence that illegal cultivation of cannabis was being carried out in Khamkheda Ambe and Rohini villages in Dhule.
DRI has been actively cracking down on drug syndicates in order to achieve its goal of “Nasha Mukt Bharat”.
