Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar announced today that an international conference on voter registration and electoral rolls will be held in Ranchi on September 2 and 3. The conference will be jointly organised by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, and the Central University of Jharkhand, with IIM Ranchi, NUSRL Ranchi and St Xavier’s College Ranchi participating as knowledge partners.

 

Addressing a press conference at Nirvachan Sadan, Kumar launched the official website (www.icvrvr.org) and the conference brochure, stating that the event aims to bring together representatives from democratic countries, universities, academicians and election management experts to prepare a comprehensive report on voter registration practices. He also said that Jharkhand’s presentation on the subject at the International Conference on Inclusive Democracy and Election Management held in January was appreciated by delegates from various countries.
