INS Sunayna Reaches Jakarta on SAGAR Mission, Marks Third Port Call

Indian Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessel INS Sunayna arrived at Jakarta in Indonesia on Tuesday, marking the third port call of its deployment under the Indian Ocean Ship (IOS) SAGAR initiative in the Indian Ocean Region. The Ministry of Defence said, the ship, carrying a multinational crew from 16 friendly foreign countries, navigated through the Malacca and Singapore Straits, showcasing operational coordination and high navigational standards. During its stay, INS Sunayna will engage with the Indonesian Navy through professional exchanges, sports events, and social interactions. The Ministry added that a Passage Exercise is also planned upon departure. It also highlights India’s commitment to strengthening maritime ties and ensuring a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific region. It added that IOS SAGAR reflects India’s vision of MAHASAGAR- Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions- promoting cooperation and peace in the Indo-Pacific.
