IMD issues warning of hot and uncomfortable weather conditions across various districts of Tripura

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of hot and uncomfortable weather conditions across various districts of Tripura over the next three days due to intense heat and high humidity.

According to the forecast, maximum temperatures in several parts of the State may reach 36°C or above, which is 2 to 4 degrees higher than normal. IMD head Dr Partha Roy stated that over the past 24 hours, the highest temperature recorded in the State was 36.6°C, which is 3.3 degrees above normal, marking the highest temperature so far this April.

He further noted that above-normal relative humidity levels are worsening the discomfort caused by the heat. The department has also issued several precautionary advisories for the public in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
