Government has debunked a video circulating on social media claiming that India’s Chief of Defence Staff made mocking remarks against US President Donald Trump. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau informed that the Chief of Defence Staff has made no such statement. The Unit added that the video is fake and AI-generated. PIB further said that the deepfake video is being circulated by Pakistan-based propaganda accounts to mislead the public. The Government has urged citizens to always verify information from trusted sources before sharing and believing it.
