FPIs Sell Indian Equities Worth ₹43,967 Crore So Far in April

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have offloaded Indian equities worth 43 thousand 967 crore rupees so far in April. The week’s flow pattern showed a sharp reversal from early buying, with FPIs remaining net buyers of equities during the first three trading sessions, before reversing course and turning sellers in the latter half.

On Friday, Foreign Portfolio Investors recorded a net equity outflow of around 2,470 crore rupees, marking the steepest single-session sell-off of the week. This came after Thursday’s net equity outflow of about 1 thousand 250 crore rupees, dragging the week’s overall tone into negative territory.

As per the depository data, FPIs have also pulled out 7 thousand 972 crore rupees from the Indian debt markets. Meanwhile, the total net outflow from the Indian capital market stood at 56 thousand and 940 crore rupees during the period under review.
