Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today called upon the corporate world to redefine Corporate Social Responsibility by placing the preservation of India’s ancient craft heritage at its centre. Emphasising the transformative potential of technology in the textile sector, Mr Pradhan said that emerging initiatives must evolve into strong platforms for skilled artisans from ordinary households across India. Speaking at an event organised by the RSB Group at the National Crafts Museum in New Delhi, the Minister emphasised that the textile industry is not merely a sector of trade but a fundamental pillar of Indian civilisation. He also lauded the efforts of the RSB Group for identifying and supporting skilled artists from the grassroots levels of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Assam.
