In a significant boost to rail connectivity, the Central Government has announced eight new weekly train services from various stations in Hyderabad. This development comes following the proactive efforts of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, who discussed the long-standing demands for regular services with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The new trains will operate from Kacheguda, Cherlapally, and Nampally stations, connecting the city to key destinations in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Odisha. Devotees traveling to sacred sites will benefit the most, as five of these trains are dedicated to Tirupati and Tiruchanur. The expansion also includes long-distance routes to Shri Ganganagar, Jaipur, and Bhubaneswar. Mr Reddy expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Railway Minister for approving these services.
The schedule kicks off next month, starting with the Cherlapally-Bhubaneswar weekly special on 5th of May, followed by multiple services to Tiruchanur and Tirupati from Cherlapally and Kacheguda throughout the month. A weekly service to Shri Ganganagar will commence on 14th of July, while the South Central Railway is expected to announce the start date for the Nampally-Jaipur weekly special soon. These additions aim to provide comfortable and accessible travel options for thousands of passengers.
