19 जनवरी 2026 तक, 2,000 से अधिक रेलवे स्टेशनों पर लगभग दो हजार तीन सौ 26 ‘वन स्टेशन वन प्रोडक्ट’ आउटलेट मौजूद हैं, जो स्थानीय उत्पादकों को लाखों यात्रियों से जोड़ते हैं और 1.32 लाख से अधिक लोगों को लाभ पहुँचाते हैं।
The One Station One Product initiative, is turning stations into accessible marketplaces for local products. After a successful 15-day pilot at 19 stations, this initiative is now rolling out nationwide, with stalls provided on a rotational basis at very nominal fees.

Running from today until the 31st of this month, the International Film Festival Delhi will present over 130 screenings from 47 countries. Curated from more than two thousand submissions across 101 nations, the line-up reflects the festival’s scale and global resonance. Akashvani will broadcast full version of National Song Vande Mataram from tomorrow to open its morning broadcast. It has been a tradition for Akashvani stations to open their morning broadcast with its iconic signature tune followed by the two stanza version of Vande Mataram, since Independence. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that in view of the Ministry of Home Affairs recent guideline on the National Song containing six stanzas, all stations of Akashvani will start broadcasting the full version of the National Song from tomorrow.

Morocco, a North African Country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea is exploring the possibility of direct flight connectivity with India to promote tourism. Over 54 thousand visitors from India visited Morocco last year. At a media round table held in Chennai, Jamal Kilito, the Country Manager of Moroccon National Tourism office said that the number of tourists is likely to touch one lakh this year. “The Country also called the kingdom of light is a favourite destination for tourists around the world. It is characterised by a specific quality of light that illuminates its landscapes, particularly during golden hour, reflecting off the Atlantic Coast, the desert stands and the vibrant architecture. Atleast ten weddings are held in Morocco and atleast 15 Conference settings and Bollywood movies are shot in Morocco as the Government offers subsidies. Among the major cities to visit is Marrakech, the economic capital Casa Blanca, Rabat, the capital city with a mix of modern infrastructure and historic sites like Kasbah of the Udayas and coastal views. ग्रेट निकोबार द्वीप विकास परियोजना, भारत सरकार की एक महत्वाकांक्षी पहल है, जिसके तहत अंडमान–निकोबार के ग्रेट निकोबार द्वीप पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय कंटेनर ट्रांसशिपमेंट टर्मिनल, नागरिक और सैन्य उपयोग वाला हवाई अड्डा, विद्युत संयंत्र और आधुनिक टाउनशिप विकसित किए जाएंगे। करीब 81 हजार करोड़ रुपये की इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में भारत की रणनीतिक ताकत को बढ़ाना और मलक्का जलडमरूमध्य के पास अपनी स्थिति का लाभ उठाकर विदेशी बंदरगाहों पर निर्भरता कम करना है। यह परियोजना चरणबद्ध तरीके से अगले 30 वर्षों में पूरी की जाएगी। परिक्रमा के लिए आकाशवाणी श्री विजयपुरम से मैं तरन्नुम मोहम्मद।

A report on “Assessment of Own Source Revenue of Rural Local Bodies” highlights Goa’s strong performance in rural local governance. According to the report, Goa ranks highest in the country in per capita Own Source Revenue, or OSR, collected by Panchayats. While the national average stands at around ₹59 per person annually, Goa’s per capita OSR is reported to be as high as ₹1,635. It is noteworthy that OSR by states and UTs are merely average 6-7% of total revenues. But in case of Goa it is 89%. The report notes that Goa’s model of revenue generation is being considered a benchmark for other states to improve financial self-reliance at the Panchayat level. As the strains of classical melody fill the air, Kerala’s rich musical heritage comes alive through the timeless compositions of Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma. A 19th century ruler of Travancore and one of India’s most celebrated composer kings, Swathi Thirunal was a great patron of the arts, literature, and education. A gifted musician, he composed hundreds of songs in multiple languages, and his works continue to hold a central place in classical music concerts, preserving a rich and enduring cultural legacy. Keeping this tradition alive, Akashvani organises the Swathi Thirunal Music Festival every year, a much loved event among classical music enthusiasts. This year’s festival began on Tuesday with a Nagaswaram concert by Ochira Sivadasan and his team. A Carnatic vocal concert by Aswathi Thirunal Rama Varma is scheduled for this evening, accompanied by noted artists S R Mahadeva Sarma on the violin, Nachil S Arul on the mridangam, Perumkavu P L Sudheer on the ghatam, and Thirunakkara K R Ratheesh on the mukhar shankh. The festival will conclude on Thursday with a concert by Dr. Anayadi Dhanalakshmi. From child actor to leading lady of the swinging sixties, Nanda was an invaluable part of several Hindi and Marathi hits.
Nanda’s paternal uncle, the renowned film producer-director V. Shantaram gave Nanda a big break by casting her in a successful brother-sister saga; Toofan Aur Diya (1956). She received her first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Bhabhi (1957). She played the title role in L.V. Prasad’s Chhoti Bahen (1959). known for founding the Hindi weekly Pratap. He pioneered revolutionary journalism, using his pen to fight British rule and champion the oppressed, which resulted in five imprisonments. He was an important figure in the non-cooperation movement and the freedom movement of India.
The Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) Medical College Kanpur is named in his remembrance. Ganesh Chowk, a square is named after him in the heart of the city of Gorakhpur. Phool Bagh, earlier Queen’s Park in Kanpur is also called as Ganesh Vidyarthi Udyan. His courage continues to inspire generations to fight for justice.

Vasant Gowarikar, Remembering Dr Vasant Ranchhod Gowarikar, the noted scientist and also the man behind Indian monsoon model. One of his noteworthy contributions is the development of the first indigenous weather forecasting model for predicting monsoon precisely. This was operationalised under his leadership.
Renowned Indian scientist and key space researcher recognized with the Padma Shri (1984) and Padma Bhushan (2008) for his pioneering contributions to solid propellant rocket motors, the Indian monsoon forecasting model, and population studies. He along with senior scientist Vikram Sarabhai, laid the foundation stone for India’s space technology and space programmes, culminating in many important milestones.
India’s first launch vehicle, SLV3, made its triumphant success during Gowarikar’s tenure as director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre. ISRO’s Solid Propellant Space Booster Plant’ was set up over 5,500 acres of land under his leadership.
Gowarikar had to his name many honours and accolades from around the globe, including the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan. He is also the recipient of the Aryabhat award by the Astronautical Society of India.
He was a part of the band of scientists who initiated India’s satellite research programme with other scientists APJ Abdul Kalam, EV Chitnis, Pramod Kale, UR Rao among others.
- He collaborated with Dr. FH Garner to create Garner-Gowarikar theory, a novel analysis of heat and mass transfer between solids and fluid
- In 2008, Gowarikar along with his associates also compiled the Fertilizer Encyclopedia (2008) that featured 4,500 entries detailing the chemical composition of fertilizers.

पंडित कुमार गंधर्व, एक प्रख्यात भारतीय शास्त्रीय गायक हैं, जो ग्वालियर घराने से संबंधित हैं। वे प्रसिद्ध शास्त्रीय गायक पंडित कुमार गंधर्व और भानुमती कंस के पुत्र और प्रमुख शिष्य हैं। मुकुल ने कम उम्र में ही अपने पिता से संगीत की शिक्षा लेनी शुरू कर दी थी। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने पंडित के. जी. गिंडे से ध्रुपद और धमार सीखा और एम. डी. रामनाथन से कर्नाटक संगीत की शिक्षा प्राप्त की। उन्होंने 1975 में प्रतिष्ठित ‘सवाई गंधर्व संगीत समारोह’ में अपनी पहली प्रस्तुति दी। मुकुल शिवपुत्रा को ख्याल, भजन और ठुमरी गायन में महारत हासिल है।

His noted character as Shrikant based on Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel on Doordarshan was made memorable only by his acting.
