Food is one of the basic necessities of life. Food contains nutrients—substances essential for the growth, repair, and maintenance of body tissues and for the regulation of vital processes. Nutrients provide the energy our bodies need to function.
The energy in food is measured in units called calories. Age, sex, weight, height, and level of activity determine the number of calories a person needs each day.
खाना उन चीज़ों में से है, जो आपकी बेसिक ज़रूरतों में से है, जैसे हवा और पानी। और आपकी हैल्थ भी काफी हद तक इस बात पर निर्भर करती है कि आप किस तरह का खाना खा रहे हैं। और अगर आपके खाने में वैराएटी हो, तो फिर खाना और interesting हो जाता है और भारत जैसे देश का कल्चर ही खाने से जुड़ा हुआ है। आप देश के एक हिस्से से दूसरे हिस्से में जाएं तो आपको वहां बिल्कुल अलग खान पान मिलेगा। देश का बहुत बड़ा हिस्सा अपनी रोज़ी रोटी के लिए फूड प्रोडक्शन पर ही निर्भर हैं। और खाना ऐसी चीज़ होता है जो दो बिल्कुल अलग अलग बैकग्राउंड के लोगों को एक साथ लाता है। कई बार आप परेशआन होते हैं तो आप अपना मनपसंद खाना खाते हैं, जिसे हम कंफर्ट फूड कहते हैं, और आपको वो खाना खाने से एक अलग सा रिलीफ और रिलैक्सेशन फील होता है। और ऐसे में अगर आपको एक ही जगह पर देश दुनिया की कई डेलीकैसी खाने को मिल जाएं तो फिर मज़ा ही आ जाएगा। इसी मक्सद से दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में चार दिवसीय मेगा फूड इवेंट ‘वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया 2024 आज से आयोजित किया जा रहा है। ये फैस्टिवल 22 सितंबर तक चलेगा।
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि सरकार ये सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है कि भारत खाद्य क्षेत्र में नवाचार, स्थिरता तथा सुरक्षा के वैश्विक मानक स्थापित करे। और इस वर्लड फूड इंडिया ऐक्सीबीशन की सबसे अच्छी बात ये है कि इस एक प्लेटफॉर्म पर investors, manufacturers, producers, food processors, खरीददार, exporters और policy makers एक साथ आएंगे। यानि कि जिन्हें अपनी प्रोड्यूस्ड चीज़ों के कदरदान चाहिए और जिन्हें हैल्थी खाना खरीदना है, वो सब इस प्लेटफॉर्म का प्रयोग कर अपने लिए खाना खरीद या बेच सकते हैं। इस ऐक्सीबीशन में ऐसे खानों को प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा जो खाने में तो टेस्टी ही हैं पर साथ ही आपकी हैल्थ के लिए भी अच्छे हैं।
नैटवर्क बनाने का मौका- इस प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से फूड इंडस्ट्री से जुड़े लोग मिल कर एक नैटवर्क बना सकते हैं।
नए स्टार्टअप्स को मौका- वो फूड स्टार्टअप्स जिनके पास इतने रिसोर्स नहीं है कि वो अपने प्रोडक्ट को रिटेलर समेत पूरी फूड चेन से गुज़ार पाएं, उन्हें इस प्लेटफॉर्म पर डायरैक्ट बायर्स मिल पाएंगे और उनका बिज़नेस बढ़ेगा।
नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में आयोजित वर्लड फूड इंडिया 2024 के पहले दिन प्रधानमंत्री ने सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट के माध्यम से कहा कि भारत में एक जीवंत तथा विविध खाद्य संस्कृति है। भारतीय खाद्य परिवेश की रीढ़ किसान हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार नई नीतियों को लागू करके उनकी कड़ी मेहनत का समर्थन कर रही है।
Highlighting the importance of progressive agricultural practices, strong administrative frameworks and cutting-edge technologies, Mr Modi said, the government has initiated wide-ranging reforms to transform the food processing sector. He said, the government is creating a strong ecosystem of modern infrastructure, and robust supply chains generating employment opportunities in the country. The Prime Minister pointed towards 100 percent FDI in food processing sector, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana, formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises, and Production Linked Incentive scheme for food processing industries. The Prime Minister said, the government is focusing on empowering small enterprises so that they become an integral part of the global value chain.
वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया 2024 में कई देशों की भागीदारी पर प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, यह दुनिया के साथ काम करने के लिए बहतरीन मंच है। उन्होंने आशा व्यक्त की कि इस दौरान खाद्य सुरक्षा, गुणवत्ता मानकों जैसे मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जाएगी। उन्होंने यह भी उम्मीद जताई कि खाद्य सुरक्षा बढ़ाने और भोजन की बर्बादी को कम करने के लिए खाद्य विकिरण के साथ चक्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों को वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया 2024 के दौरान प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा।
On the inaugural day of World Food India, the Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Pralhad Joshi said, it is a commendable initiative to recognize the potential of the Food and Processing sector. Mr Joshi stressed on the need to increase quality and branding of the processing product. He expressed hope that the country will achieve newer heights in the food and processing sector in the coming years.

Four days long World Food India 2024 today began at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Over 90 countries, 26 Indian States and Union Territories, and 18 Central Ministries and allied government bodies are participating in this mega event.

“Held at the breathtaking Warila Pass in Ladakh, the HIM-DRONE-A-THON 2 offered a unique platform for over 20 drone manufacturers to present a range of solutions suitable for high-altitude applications. These innovations included systems for surveillance, logistics, swarm tactics and first-person view operations. The rugged terrain of Ladakh served as an authentic testing ground, validating the performance and global relevance of these technologies and also positioning India as a key player in the global drone industry. Participants were recognized for their contributions, with special awards for winners in the logistics and FPV categories. The event provided the Indian Army with an opportunity to shortlist several products for potential procurement and recommendations for the improvement of others.The dronathon embodies the Indian Army’s forward-thinking vision, emphasizing the critical role of drone technology in future military operations. It also highlights the potential for innovation and global export opportunities, making this event a catalyst for advancing India’s broader goal of self-reliance in the defense field. Minister of state for home Nityanand Rai will review the Dikshant Parade tomorrow at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) near Hyderabad. 188 IPS probationers along with 19 foreign officers from Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Mauritius will pass out from the academy this time. Director, SVPNPA Amit Garg informed that the Basic training covered various topics including the newly introduced laws, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. “The probationers have completed the toughest part of their training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy near Hyderabad. They have been imparted focussed training in internal security challenges, drone technology, cyber-crimes and security, drug trafficking, crypto currency, financial frauds, dark net, artificial intelligence among others and will now go for district practical training for 29 weeks before returning to the academy for second phase of basic course training for a period of nine weeks. When I spoke to a few of the probationers who stood first in various categories, they said they had to undergo the most challenging conditions as part of the training. However, the positive attitude and hard work helped them to excel. Sonali Mishra, daughter of a former Prasar Bharti senior official, from the UP cadre who is going to receive Manipur Cup for Law tomorrow, said the positive attitude helped her to overcome difficult challenges.
Viswajeet Souryan from the UP cadre, who stood first in outdoor activities, said his mother nurtured him courageously.
Ayush Yadav from Haryana cadre who stood first in Equitation, wants to give a surprise for his family.

She said that the Commission has introduced biometric verification system of the candidates along with their picture and Id number of their forms submitted to commission this time. India’s equity benchmark indices ended with modest gains after hitting record highs in the intra-day trade following the US Federal Reserve’s decision to cut interest rates by 50 basis points.
At close, the Sensex gained 236 points, or 0.2 percent at 83,184 and the NSE Nifty was marginally up 38 points or 0.1 percent at 25,415.
In the Global Crude Market, Brent Crude was trading more than one percent up at 74 dollar 44 cents per barrel, and WTI Crude rose nearly one percent to trade at 71 dollars and 54 cents per barrel, when the reports last came in.
In the Indian bullion market, the 24 Karat Gold was trading at 73,750 rupees for 10 grams, Silver 999 fine, is trading at 90,190 per one kilogram, when reports last came in.

Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande was trained as a lawyer. However, his real calling was music.
In today’s time and age anybody can learn music if they want to, primarily because it is lipibadh or for the lack of a better word scripted making it easy to understand and most importantly read, and that could happen because he devised a system of notation to aid learning and keeping a record of musical compositions. During his time, music was taught as an oral tradition. Compositions were not easily accessible. Pt. Bhatkhande compiled about 1,200 compositions in six parts of the Kramik Pustak Malika series.
Considered as the architect of present-day Hindustani music, he took various initiatives to ensure the growth and development of music.
