External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has criticised the opposition for not allowing the passage of the Constitution Amendment Bill, which would effectively implement the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. In a social media post, Dr. Jaishankar said that by blocking the amendment, parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress, DMK and Samajwadi Party have denied women’s legitimate rights to representation in legislatures.
