In Bihar, a “Nari Shakti for Viksit Bharat” Run themed on Nari Shakti Vandan was organised today in Patna. The run was conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and MY Bharat. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary flagged off the run at 6 a.m. from JP Ganga Path. On this occasion, Mr Chaudhary said that with the passage of the amendment bills related to the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, women’s participation in Parliament and state legislative assemblies will increase.
Former minister Shreyasi Singh and Patna Municipal Corporation Mayor Sita Sahu were also present at the event, in which around 4,000 women and girl students participated.
