World Heritage Day is being observed tomorrow. Ahead of the day, Assam Rifles organised an educational visit today to the Khongjom War Memorial in Thoubal district of Manipur. Around 100 students of Slopeland Public School, Langathel, along with 15 Assam Rifles personnel, took part in the tour.

The visit aimed to enrich the knowledge of the younger generation about the Anglo-Manipur War of 1891 and the sacrifices made by the heroes of Manipur at the historic Khongjom site. During the tour, participants were sensitised to the historical significance of the memorial, followed by an interactive session to deepen their understanding of heritage conservation.
