In West Bengal, the all-round development of North Bengal is the utmost priority of the BJP government, said Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.
He added that he will visit North Bengal once every month to review development projects and monitor the implementation of government schemes. He further said that the North Bengal Development Minister will hold a Janata Darbar from 9 am to 11 am to listen to and address people’s problems once every week at the North Bengal Secretariat “Uttarkanya” in Siliguri.
He also said that after the Janata Darbar, there will be an administrative review meeting with officials from 11 am to 1 pm, and from 2 pm to 4 pm on the same day, the North Bengal Development Minister will hold a review meeting with all MPs and MLAs of the region to accelerate development works.
Mr Adhikari, after becoming Chief Minister, arrived in Siliguri today on his first one-day visit to North Bengal. He was accorded a grand welcome by North Bengal Development, Sports and Youth Minister Nisith Pramanik at Bagdogra Airport.
The Chief Minister addressed BJP office bearers, party MPs and MLAs of North Bengal at the Siliguri BJP office, where he was given a grand welcome.
