Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan will be on a two-day visit to Sri Lanka from tomorrow. This will be his first bilateral visit to the neighbouring country. He will call on the Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Disanayaka. Mr Radhakrishnan will meet the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, along with other dignitaries.

VP Radhakrishnan to undertake 2-day visit to Sri Lanka from April 19 to 20
The Vice President will interact with leaders of the Indian-origin Tamil Community and Tamil Leaders from the Northern and Eastern regions of Sri Lanka. He will address the Indian diaspora at a community event in Colombo, where he will virtually hand over houses to beneficiaries from Tamil communities, built with assistance from the Government of India as part of the third phase of the Indian Housing Project.
This visit follows recent high-level engagements between the two countries and is expected to further strengthen the millennia-old civilizational and people-to-people ties between both nations.
