The last rites of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Major General (Retd.) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri were performed with full state honours in Haridwar today.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, along with several senior leaders from the state, reached Haridwar to pay their final respects to the late leader. Chief Minister Dhami said that the contribution of the late Khanduri towards the development of Uttarakhand and public service would always be remembered by the state. He termed his demise an irreparable loss to the state.

Earlier, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Gurmit Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid floral tributes to the former Chief Minister at his Dehradun residence.
