On the occasion of World Heritage Day today, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has urged citizens to take a pledge to keep the historical sites clean and safe while visiting them. He also urged the citizens to honour the historical sites of the country.
In a social media post, Mr Shekhawat said that the walls of temples, the carvings of ancient forts, and the folk songs of generations are the true identities of the citizens.
World Heritage Day is observed annually on 18th April to raise awareness about the significance of world heritage sites and the importance of safeguarding them for future generations.
