Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Gujarat from today. A high-level review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr Shah in Ahmedabad. Mr Shah discussed with the Commissioner and senior officials of the Municipal Corporation about tree plantation, development works, interlinking and renovation of lakes under the Lok Sabha Hariyali Lok Sabha.

In his schedule, the Union Home Minister will review the progress made in the functioning of the GUDC and Gandhinagar Lok Sabha as well as other development works related to Mansa Municipality, the progress made in the functioning of the public hospital in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha area, the functioning of Akhandanand and Satya Sahitya Mudranalaya Trust.

Apart from this, Mr. Shah will hold a meeting with the in-charge and co-in-charge of the toy collection campaign under the Gujarat Khileshe Balak Abhiyan in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. In the evening, Mr. Shah will hold a meeting with the elected corporators of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation of Ghatlodia, Vejalpur, Naranpura and Sabarmati assembly constituencies included in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
