Prime Minister Narendra Modi urges women to join politics in larger numbers for country’s development

Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting at Bishnupur in West Bengal’s Bankura district. Addressing the rally, the Prime Minister alleged that the Trinamool Congress conspired with the Congress to prevent the passage of a bill to provide a women’s quota in 2029, and said the people will punish them. Mr Modi said that more women should join politics to ensure the country’s development. He asserted that the BJP is synonymous with women’s empowerment and is committed to their safety and security.

Prime Minister alleged that both the Trinamool Congress and the Congress are anti-tribal, stating that they had fielded a candidate against President Droupadi Murmu during the Presidential elections. He further said that the Trinamool Congress, which he accused of violating laws to benefit infiltrators and providing reservations on the basis of religion, is opposed to women’s empowerment. Mr Modi said the enthusiasm among people at the rally reflects their anger against what he termed the “Nirmam Sarkar” of the state.

Addressing a poll rally in Purulia, Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi has alleged that corruption and atrocities under the Trinamool Congress (TMC) rule have created fear among people in West Bengal. People are now placing their faith in the BJP. Mr Modi added that it was the BJP government that created a separate ministry for tribal affairs and allocated funds for their development. He alleged that tribal-dominated districts have lagged in development and basic amenities under what he termed the TMC’s “maha jungleraj”.
