Maharashtra State Commission for Women Chairperson Rupali Chakankar has directed all district collectors and divisional commissioners across the state to conduct a POSH internal complaints committee audit within one month.
All government, semi-government, and local self-government bodies, corporations, and autonomous institutions have been instructed to ensure that Internal Committees are properly formed and functioning.
Officials have been warned that immediate steps must be taken where committees are incomplete or not formed, failing which action and possible legal proceedings will follow. A consolidated report must be submitted to the Commission within 30 days.
