Following the appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma has also emphasised the need to conserve petrol and diesel in the state. He has appealed to people to avoid unnecessary use of vehicles. The Chief Minister has decided to reduce the number of vehicles in his own convoy and has directed ministers, public representatives, and officials to exercise restraint in the use of vehicles. He said that non-essential consumption of petrol and diesel must be curtailed. All departments have been instructed to end the practice of deploying extra vehicles in the name of official programmes, tours, VIP movement, and protocol.
