Uttar Pradesh: Rain, lightning & dust storms claim 43 lives in last 24 hours

In Uttar Pradesh, rain along with dust storms and lightning has claimed 43 lives in the last 24 hours. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the incidents and asked the officials to provide every possible help to the affected people.
 
Akashvani’s correspondent reports that Maximum deaths have been reported from Bhadohi district, where 15 people lost their lives. More than one dozen people are injured and admitted to different hospitals. 10 people died in Mirzapur, and 9 people died in Fatehpur, while five people died in Badayun and 4 people died in the Bareilly district. maximum deaths happened due to incidents of lightning, wall collapse and trees falling on people and vehicles due to dust storms and hailstorms.
 
The weather suddenly changed yesterday in many parts of the state and incidents of falling electric poles and trees have been reported from different districts, affecting the power supply and road traffic. Hailstorms accompanied by rain have damaged the crops badly.  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with all the senior officials and asked them to provide compensation to the affected people within the next 24 hours.
