The Railways Ministry today celebrated International Women’s Day in New Delhi. The event brought together women employees to celebrate the achievements of women and mark a call to action for gender equality. The Ministry of Railways said that the event reaffirmed its commitment to gender equality, witnessing the participation of women officials. The event also featured various engaging activities, including a skit, a health talk, a yoga demonstration, dance and song performances, a quiz, fun games and others.
Recognizing Women’s excellence in various fields, Merit Certificates and Cash Awards were presented to the winners of the Essay and Pot Decoration Competitions, as well as to the Best Sportswomen and Best Cultural Artists. On the occasion, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Railway Board, Satish Kumar, Member (Finance), Railway Board, Manjusha, were present.
