Punjab Police has made the biggest seizure of over 64 kilograms of heroin this year so far in the border district of Amritsar today. Police Chief Gaurav Yadav, while disclosing this, said that the Amritsar-based Counter-Intelligence wing has busted a narco-terror network and arrested two accused from a village in Amritsar. He said they were in contact with Pakistan- and Portugal-based handlers to smuggle the contraband into Indian territory via the Punjab border with Pakistan. Further investigation is underway to trace the entire network.
