Punjab Police have busted a Dubai-based international drug smuggling module that was operating from Abu Dhabi to traffic narcotics into the border state of Punjab and the National Capital Territory of New Delhi.

The Amritsar Commissionerate Police, which conducted the operation, apprehended two drug smugglers with 10 kg of ICE (methamphetamine) and 4 kg of heroin.

According to police sources, one of the accused had recently returned from Dubai after being allegedly trained and tasked with transporting consignments of heroin and ICE for further distribution across various districts of Punjab.

Further investigation is underway.
