President, Prime Minister and Home Minister extend greetings to people of Sikkim on Statehood Day

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their greetings to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of its Statehood Day today. In a social media post, the President said, Sikkim’s magnificent natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and strong commitment to environmental conservation make it a model of sustainable development for the nation. She added that the people of Sikkim are known for their warmth, simplicity, and spirit of harmony. President Murmu wished continued prosperity and progress for the state and its people.

PM Modi in a social media post, said, Sikkim’s contribution to India’s development is deeply valued. He noted that this year’s celebrations are especially significant as the state marks its 50th Statehood Day. Recalling his recent visit to Sikkim, the Prime Minister said he was fortunate to join the people of the state during the celebrations. He added that the warmth and affection he received from the people of Sikkim would always remain memorable. Mr Modi also assured that the Central Government will continue to support Sikkim’s growth and development in the years ahead. He wished the people of the state good health, happiness, and prosperity.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also extended greetings to the people of Sikkim on the occasion of their Statehood Day. In a social media post, Mr Shah said, from becoming the world’s first fully organic state to redefining mountain tourism, Sikkim’s achievements continue to inspire the entire nation. He wished the state continued glory and greater success in reaching new heights.
