Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised that BJP victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry are testament to public support for the national policy implemented by his Government.
He said that the election outcomes reflect the mood of the nation, indicating public messages supporting national programmes and policies of his government. Addressing BJP cadres in Bengaluru today, the Prime Minister underscored the need for a Government that delivers, that provides good governance at speed, provides solutions and takes the country forward. In West Bengal, the party began with just three seats and in 10 years has formed the government with a massive mandate.
In Assam, people have given a third term to the party, and in the Gujarat municipal election, the party has broken all previous records. In Kerala, he added, with three seats in this election, a passage is created for good prospects for the next election. BJP and NDA rule in 21 states, working for Lok kalyan and prosperity of our country.
Taking on Congress, the Prime Minister accused it of betraying women by voting against the Nari Vandan Samshodhan bill in the Parliament that ensured 33 percent reservation for women in the Parliament.
The Prime Minister appealed to people to work for national development and be united to overcome the challenges posed by geopolitical developments such as the US-Iran war.
