Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that he is looking forward to his meeting with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni later in the day. He expressed hope that the talks will focus on strengthening India-Italy relations.

In a social media post, PM Modi said that upon landing in Rome, he had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Meloni over dinner, followed by a visit to the iconic Colosseum. He said both leaders exchanged perspectives on a wide range of subjects. The Prime Minister added that today’s talks will continue the conversation on boosting India-Italy friendship.

Meanwhile, in another post, the Prime Minister thanked the Indian community in Italy for the warm welcome in Rome last evening. PM said that their deep affection for India and commitment towards strengthening India-Italy ties are truly commendable. He added that the Indian diaspora continues to make the nation proud across the world.
