Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called on Vice President C P Radhakrishnan at Uprashtrapati Bhawan and conveyed greetings on the occasion of Puthandu, the Tamil New Year and Baisakhi.

In a social media post, Mr Radhakrishnan said that they discussed how Tamil Puthandu showcases the wisdom of the ancestors and brings together tradition, family, spirituality, and a disciplined way of life. He noted that these New Year celebrations taking place across the country at the same time remind us of the cultural richness and diversity while highlighting the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

Both the Vice President and Prime Minister wished the citizens a wonderful year ahead, filled with good health and happiness.
