Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Ali Falih Kadhim al-Zaidi on assuming office as Prime Minister of Iraq. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that India highly values its longstanding and friendly ties with Iraq and remains firmly committed to further strengthening the bilateral ties in all areas. The Prime Minister added that he is looking forward to working together for the shared progress and prosperity of the two nations.
