Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has described the Budget Session of Parliament as productive and successful. Briefing the media after the conclusion of the Budget Session at the Parliament Library Building, Mr Rijiju said that the Union Budget and several key legislative bills were successfully passed during the session. The Minister noted that in the second phase of the session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made statements in both Houses on the crisis in West Asia. Mr Rijiju also informed that the session was extended by three additional days for special sittings for the passage of legislation related to women’s reservation.
