The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today organised a workshop on enhancing response capabilities in biological disasters in New Delhi. The workshop aimed at strengthening preparedness and coordination to deal with emergencies arising from biological threats. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Inspector General of NDRF, B B Vaidya said that, coordinated, well-equipped and scientific response mechanism is the urgent need to fight against the biological threats. He further added that the primary objective of this workshop is to enhance the coordination between the scientific medical fraternity and disaster response agencies to adopt effective approaches during biological emergencies.
