National Commission for Women (NCW) hosted a Consultation on Laws related to Maternity and Child Care in New Delhi on Tuesday. The consultation was chaired by NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar. In a social media post, the Commission said that the consultation intends to bring in recommendations in strengthening legal and policy frameworks to support maternity rights and ensure safe, inclusive, and responsive child care systems, while addressing emerging challenges and safeguarding the well-being of women and children.
