The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for heat wave conditions over Rajasthan for today. Heat wave conditions are also expected over Gujarat, Maharashtra, and West Madhya Pradesh till tomorrow. The Weather Agency has forecast hot and humid weather over Coastal Karnataka for the day. 

 

The Met Department also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over the northeastern parts of the country and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. 

 

Thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms are expected over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. IMD further predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Punjab for the day. Similar weather conditions are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Lakshadweep, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
