Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) have decided to enhance coordination against drug trafficking on the Indo-Nepal border. Director General of NCB Anurag Garg and DG SSB Sanjay Singhal discussed the matter in New Delhi yesterday. The focus of the meeting was on intelligence sharing and real-time coordination, joint operations and capacity building initiatives, leveraging SSB’s border presence for effective interdiction and reinforcing NCB-SSB synergy to curb cross-border smuggling. The meeting reaffirmed commitment to national security, disrupting trafficking networks and protecting youth from drug abuse through stronger cooperation at vulnerable border points.
