Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions today said that more than 200 crore rupees in revenue were earned from scrap disposal from December 2025 to January 2026. The Ministry said this, releasing the 27th edition of its monthly Secretariat Reforms report for the month of January. The key highlights of the report include more than 4 thousand crore rupees in revenue earned from scrap sales in swachhata campaign from 2021 to January 2026. The report said that 0.81 lakh files were weeded out last month under the Swachhata campaign in more than 5 thousand offices. The Ministry said that these initiatives underscore the Government’s ongoing commitment to digitally enabled, transparent, efficient, and citizen-focused governance, aligning with the broader goal of administrative excellence and responsive public administration.
