LPG Supply Remains Normal with Over 51.8 Lakh Cylinders Delivered in a Day: Govt

The government has said that domestic LPG cylinder deliveries remain normal in the country with more than 51.8 lakh domestic LPG cylinders delivered yesterday.
 
 
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in a statement today said that more than 42 thousand five hundred PNG consumers surrendered their LPG connections through MYPNGD.in website. It added that a total of 1 lakh 64 thousand six hundred fifty five Metric Tonnes of Commercial LPG has been sold in the month of April till yesterday.
 
 
The ministry is ensuring the uninterrupted availability of petroleum products and LPG across the country and mentioned that no dry-outs have been reported at LPG distributorships. It said that Enforcement actions are continuing across the country to curb hoarding and black marketing of LPG, and yesterday, more than 2,100 raids were conducted. The Ministry further informed that Online LPG bookings have increased to about 98 per cent across the industry.
 
 
As per the government, Port operations across the country are normal with no congestion reported. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways informed that the Directorate General of Shipping has facilitated the safe repatriation of more than 2 thousand seven hundred sixty four Indian seafarers so far, including twenty four in the past 24 hours from various locations across the Gulf region.
 
 
The External Affairs Ministry informed that the Iran airspace is partially open for cargo and chartered flights. Indian nationals are advised to avoid travelling to Iran and those already there in Iran are urged to leave through land border, with Embassy’s support. The Indian Embassy in Tehran has facilitated movement of two thousand four hundred forty five Indian nationals out of Iran through land border routes. The Ministry noted that since 28 February, around 12 lakh 96 thousand passengers have travelled from the region to India.
